Re: What games are you playing?

Anyone play Axiom Verge? It's heavily inspired by Super Metroid and probably just as good.

Re: 3DS XL

I feel like Nintendo is holding out for the NX. They made it pretty obvious at E3 when all of their announced titles were just filler titles.

Re: 3DS XL

I really wanted the Majora's Mask edition, but it sold out in 2 seconds. I ended up getting the black one. The c-stick is more like a nib off of a laptop. It does alright for camera control, but I don't see it being used for much else. The eye tracking is worth it alone. On the older 3DS I would end...

Re: What games are you playing?

I disagree. I think the coins are great. I mean, they are far more useful than in Super Mario Kart and they create a bit of risk vs. reward. Do you stick the the racing line or do you adjust and grab a coin? Can you stay in the lead without the speed boost they give you for another lap? Can you mak...

Re: What games are you playing?

This is more about the single player but I wish they would remove coins in Mario Kart 8. It's the way they make the game harder without programming better AI. First gets a useless coin while other positions get useful items. I don't mind the different items per position. That's fine and MKDS execute...

Re: 3DS XL

And some of the new microtransaction games are actually pretty good and don't feel exploitative. Still, I hope we don't see Nintendo go down the same route all the rest are going I rather enjoyed Pokemon Shuffle. I think Nintendo is testing out the freemium idea on the 3DS before moving to mobile. ...

Memoria!

Being a fan of Seiken Densetsu and Yoko Shimomura I happened across this.

Re: What games are you playing?

I have to play a little catch up. I have played through and finished Call of Duty Ghost. Really impressed with this one. As good as CoD4. I have played a ton of Peggle 2 That leads me to my current list until Titan Fall comes out. Strider Papers, Please Assassin's Creed IV (Not so much. Just a littl...

The giant crab enemy has been in the series from the start.

Re: [exasperated sigh followed by defeated sobbing]

It doesn't look too bad. I would like to play it first before making a final judgement.

I wonder if Ishii had a hand in this? I'm not sure if he is still working with Square Enix after forming Grezzo.

Re: Mobile phone gaming

Tiny Tower is really addictive.

I have an LG Optimus G. I really liked The Room. Both Temple Run games are fun. GTA 3 is fun but the touch screen controls got in the way. I'm not complaining though, GTA is one of the best examples of decent touch screen controls.

Re: What games are you playing?

I destroyed A Link Between Worlds the week it came out. I'm not sure if it was nostalgia or if the game was good on its own. Either way I really enjoyed it. The World of Warcraft office guild has pretty much expanded to all of IT Operations (we're looking for more regular players if anyone is intere...
