Ishii doing more Zelda

Post by bastian »

Grezzo was the studio behind the 3Ds remake of Ocarina of Time (to critical acclaim) and now they're back on board for more Zelda as the studio behind the Four swords Anniversary Edition for the 3Ds and DsI, including a great deal more stages (which each pay homage to the older Zelda games).

I have to say that I think it's good that rather than making their own games Grezzo is doing all this Zelda stuff, and here's why: by the end of World of Mana... and even with Line Attack Heroes... Ishii seemed less interested in making a rich, fun, deep game and much more interested in creating some brand new wacky gameplay mechanic. I think working so closely with Nintendo on Ocarina of Time, Four swords Anniversary Edition, and probably Majora's Mask will force him to focus on what made THOsE games great and might remind him of what made Mana great.

Maybe all of this will lead to a much more Mana-esque game from Grezzo for the 3Ds or Wii U.
