Anyone finished Heroes of Mana ?
I finished it when the Japanese version released. I'm in the process of writing the FAQ and am up to Chapter 21 or 22 (haven't got it on me right now). I also have chapters 25-27 written up in the FAQ. Are you stuck on one of the ones in between, in which case, let me know which it is and I can see if I can help.
I finished it. Few missions were tricky, but after one failure I cracked them up. Didn't break a sweat heh... in most cases it is a matter of a good start and securing Trent site. The first thing to build (after Gatherer breeding point) is a Healing House. When you have a Healing House, the rest is a matter of getting serious number of berries and building the strongest units available so far. Grey Ox is an ultimate warrior, if you ask for my opinion...
However, I find few of bonus mission impossible to complete. 7 or so, counting from the end.

I wanted to add that I regularly monitor the help center area for new posts, so don't be shy about posting there (although I can't help with games I haven't played, like SwoM or SD4).
General advice that I can give is, HoM is a slow C&C-style RTS. Heck, if you're relatively new to RTS you could get your feet wet(ter) with Starcraft or the like. The basic objective is to simply out-produce and/or outclass the opponent. HoM's more advanced worker units can take advantage of the terrain to grab resources, so you don't necessarily need to position your ship perfectly. In some of the early maps you can get away with spamming with one unit type, but in the later maps you'll have to be a bit more cunning and take advantage of the rock-paper-scissors-bomb relationship the basic combat units share.

Yeah, I've done that a few times as well. Even worse I'll buy a game, one of those that takes time to get into, and in the meanwhile I'm playing one of my older games and completely forget about the one I bought for months on end.Enslaven00bs wrote:I stopped playing. I have this bad problem when I buy a video game I'll play through part of it with the intentions it beating then I get a new video game and drop the old one. It's a never ending cycle.
*has a feeling he's gonna have that happen to FFXII for a long time*
That's the reason why I've yet to play Oblivion.Tsurayu wrote:Yeah, I've done that a few times as well. I guess I'm one of the few who have completed it, unless you count Hard Mode...I'm only up to 21 in hard mode but I'm pretty sure I can beat it without too much difficulty this next time through.
I guess I can give pointers to anyone having issues with the normal mode missions if that would be useful to anyone who is stuck

I suppose that if GameFAQs still doesn't have any FAQ postings yet, we can sort of cobble together a walkthrough...Istarune wrote:I guess I'm one of the few who have completed it, unless you count Hard Mode...I'm only up to 21 in hard mode but I'm pretty sure I can beat it without too much difficulty this next time through.
