Cleaning Scans

I've got a LOT of Seiken Densetsu related stuff to scan for the site:

Final Fantasy Adventure items
Final Fantasy Adventure art
Final Fantasy Adventure manga
Secret of Mana weapons
Secret of Mana armor
Secret of Mana items
Secret of Mana Nintendo Power pages
Seiken Densetsu 3 armor
Seiken Densetsu 3 items
Seiken Densetsu 3 chibis
Seiken Densetsu 3 trading cards
Legend of Mana characters (getting better quality scans)
Legend of Mana art
Legend of Mana trading cards
Legend of Mana trading card rulebook
Dawn of Mana art
Children of Mana art

etc. etc. etc.

Scanning the stuff is really easy, but really tedious, and cleaning them up takes a bit of time. It keeps me from working on other text based parts of the site and stuff.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help clean up scans. You'd get to see lots of cool scans that lots of people have never seen, you'd be mentioned on the site for your help, and you'd be helping me out a ton XD

If you want to help just reply here and say what stuff you'd be interested in.

Italicized ones are stuff I really want to do (I love FFA, what can I say?)
The ones in bold are the ones that are too much work for me to do.
The rest of them can pretty easily be done by me, but maybe they'd need help.

If you give me a small one, I can see how long it takes me and if I want to do more. I'm not sure that I'm the best at this so it would be good for me to test my abilities and see what you think on a small project.

What all does this entail exactly? I'm willing to give it a try at least. I have loads of free time, so unless it's something I don't know how to do I should be able to help out a bit. XD

Cleaning them up would basically just be taking the main focus of the scan and putting it on a nice white or transparent background.

See like:

This crab used to have an ugly parchment background, but I colored over all of it.

Lots of the stuff I am gonna need cleaned up have a few lines or some text here and there that needs to be removed.

And after the area is cleaned around them they just need to be saved separately from the other images in the picture and cropped and resized nicely.

I'll get some raw scans probably tonight so y'all can see more of what I need.

Hm, well if it wouldn't be too much trouble could I have like a test image to try as well? I've done some of that before, but I don't know that I'm really up to par. XD

Well now I feel really stupid. XD

Turns out that in the time it takes me to upload the images I'd need fixed, I can just fix them myself. x_x;

I think I'm gonna be able to knock this stuff out faster and easier than I figured, sorry about that guys XD Thanks for the offers of help XD
