I'm running build 7057 x86 live on my laptop. After a few tests since build 6519 i deceided to install this build. It can be used until 2nd of March 2010.

No problems, Even when completely (hurray!) uninstalling IE8.
except for daemon tools, which is not compatible.

anyone else got experience with Windows 7?

Wait,

How are you doing this? Is this an internet dispersed illegal copy?

Peace,

manaman

PS: And regardless, you ought to post some screenshots. . . . ;)

How can you use your copy until 2nd of march 2010. I thought the longest "legal" beta activation allowed was until july this year.

They say it takes the same amount of resources, but Win7 should be faster than Vista.
With Vista they focused mostly on security than speed, with Win7 the speed is the main focus this time.

since Windows will always be hacked..... 8P
why try harder on the things which will fail inevitable when you should build on the stuff the people want: an Operating System which works great and does what you want!

I'm happy and cannot wait.

Anything is better than Vista. Although my experience is my own fault and I know it. I only had like $300 dollars at the time so I ended up having to buy a single-core, 1024MB computer that is running Vista on it. It was funny, even the guy at the store was telling me I wasn't making a wise purchase, but I had little choice.

*really really really hates his computer*

I even go around now telling anyone who runs Vista on anything less than a dual core is a moron, and I should know. xD

I run Vista on a laptop and a stationary. So far I had 0 problems with it. Neither in speed or stability.
(although both have 4 GB ram, laptop is dual and stationary is quad.)

I run on 2 screens, play games in window mode, listens to music or watch some tv series, and on the internet surfing, I also download stuff (lots and lots of... legal... stuff), chat in msn... all at once on the stationary and I don't feel the OS slow at all. Not even the fans react so much.

The laptop can do less. Playing games and watching a movie will make the fan go crazy. (but still doesn't become slower)

You can definitely tell that Windows 7 was designed by the same person who designed Office 2007. And I HATE Office 2007.

Aside from that, bleh... I'm still not really sure how I feel yet. I'm using it as the primary OS on my laptop.
