"1) Sell all your Candies and Medicinal Herbs, and then buy one Candy, followed by one Medicinal Herb (you can use other items, but these are cheap and readily available). Exit the shop menu and go to the item ring.
2) Put the item cursor on the item to the right of the Medicinal Herb (this is very likely the Magic Rope, but could be the Cup of Wishes or something else).
3) Press right so that the cursor starts moving towards the Medicinal Herb, but immediately exit the menu by pressing Y.
4) Go to the sell item menu in the shop. If everything is going properly, the cursor will start on the Herb. If the cursor is on something else, go back to step 2 and try again.
5) Sell the Herb, then the Candy. Press Y to go to the Buy/Sell dialogue.
6) Choose to sell again, and go to the item to the right of where the Herb used to be (again, this is probably the Magic Rope).
7) If everything went properly, the Item name box will be empty, though the icon will be the Magic Rope/whatever. If not, start over.
Sell this empty spot. Notice that the item box calls this item a "Blat" now. Keep selling these Blats/Empty Boxes until you have as much money as you want (they sell for ~30k a pop).
9) When you want to end the glitch, sell Blats until the item box is blank again (a blank occurs after 7 Blats) and buy a Candy and/or Herb
Note: Do not under any circumstances try to use a Blat or empty space (called Trash in the Item menu) as an item. Doing so will cause the game to at least crash.
Note pt. 2: If you are having difficulty getting the timing for step 3 right, sell off your chocolates, Cup of Wishes, and so forth to increase the distance between items on the Ring."
