Right, I'm trying to identify this little so and so in Heroes of Mana and jot down his name in English. I recognise him, but buggered if I know what he's called or where he's from.

The japanese name is "moruboruboru", and he looks like this:

Any ideas, people? I'm at a loss.

Yes, in SwoM it's Malboro and it's a flora type of monster. Prime: hearing Sub: none Power: 27 Defence: 43 Agility: 45 Intelligence: 64 Mind: 62 Experince points: 51 Hp: 206 I don't know about HoM though, but this is it's status in Popoi's Notebook in SwoM under monster album. Is that of any help?

Danny got it right.

Malboro.

It has been in Legend of Mana(Kinda rare enemy, best place to find one is the jungle)
Sword of Mana (Rare enemy found in the Cascade Cave after Jadd)
Children of Mana (Late game enemy)

The Japanese name for it in LoM and SwoM is the same as that one, Malboroboro.

It's true, I only deafeated one of them in SwoM. It looks kind of strange doesn't it? Kind of like a fish-flower enemy.

Yep, that's perfect, Danny, thank you. And thanks Sheexy for the additional info across the games.

No, problem. It was my pleasure to help you and Sheexy's also.^_^ I wonder what the people thought about when making that enemy. I haven't seen it in SoM or SD3. Did it also apear in FFA? It's a strange monster indeed.

No it did not. Also the Malboro is something that first appeared in Final Fantasy games afaik. It was always a very odd critter.

Crapsticks, you're right! I'd forgotten just how many hours I'd spent beating up these little blighters in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. And from reading up a bit on them, they do appear in other FF games also.
